INTRODUCTION TO CRICKET - ONLINE COACHING COURSE

Starting out in coaching?

Cricket Coaches Australia (CCA) offer the below FREE on-line courses to support volunteers, parents and those who are beginning life as coaches.

Introduction to Cricket online course (for volunteer coaches)
Woolworths Cricket Blast Course (for Junior Blaster & Master Blaster Coordinators)
Plus Ethics & Conduct, Bullying, Introduction to Alcohol, Illicit Drugs & your mates, Sexual Harassment (for all volunteers)
For coaches the first step is to complete the Introduction to Cricket online course by heading to the Cricket Coaches Australia website, clicking Courses and Workshop tab and then click the green Launch Learning tab. This will take you to your own personal learning page, where under Learning you can see the Introduction to Cricket tab.

The seven modules take approximately 100 minutes to complete and is compulsory before registering for a Community Coach accreditation course below.


COMMUNITY COACHING COURSE


Coaching a Club or School team?

The FREE Community Coach Accreditation Course (Level 1) is designed to educate coaches on how to teach the basic fundamental skills of cricket within a fun and engaging  environment .

To enable registration for the Community Coach Accreditation Course, each participant is required to complete the free 'Introduction to Cricket' online course as above.

To search all courses throughout Queensland and register, please log onto the Cricket Coaches Australia website. Search under the Courses and Workshop tab and then click the green Launch Learning tab. This will take you to your own personal learning page, where under Learning you can see the Community (Level 1) Coaching Course.

The Community course is four hours in duration with content predominately delivered with practical activities that conveys our coaching principles. The course is delivered face to face by an experienced Queensland Cricket Coach and Talent Development Specialist.
Certificates are electronically sent to participants within a week of completion and your membership to Cricket Coaches Australia (CCA) lasts four years with access to the latest resources, articles, presentations and blogs from Cricket Australia.

Course Conditions

Participants must be 14 years of age at the date of the practical day. Participants should have a personal fitness level that will enable them to physically complete the practical requirements of the course.

Police Check: All applicants, as a condition of acceptance to a Cricket Australia course must consent to abiding by Australian and state/territory government legislation in relation to screening of coaches and agreement to undergoing a police check if requested.
